Full Service Italian Dual Citizenship – How It Works

When you want to apply for Italian dual citizenship but don’t want to do any of the work, this service is for you.

With our full service Italian dual citizenship packages, we take care of everything for you from start to finish.

Simply get in touch, fill out our forms, and we’ll take over the reigns. Then, we’ll obtain all your documents, do all your translations, and get all of your legalizations.

Therefore, when your appointment comes you’ll be confident knowing you have everything you need.

Note: only the applicant can go to the consular appointment. Even though we’d love to, we can’t go to your appointment on your behalf!

Your own professionally compiled application

We’ll prepare everything to your consulate’s specifications. Please note, however, that your consulate reserves the right to require further documentation such as court orders to correct name discrepancies in your documents. In these cases, we’re happy to offer such services for a separate fee.

Legalizations

Please note: we include only one (1) marriage and one (1) divorce record per generation. We bill for each marriage and divorce record after the first at an a la carte rate.

If you have discrepancies on your documents, we can provide the following:

  • Court Orders of One and the Same Person: this rectifies all discrepancies across your entire document suite at once.
  • Amendments: depending on the state law, we can have your record amended. Some states will issue a new document with the amended information, while others will correct it on the document itself, or issue an “aka” on the document.
  • Positivo/Negativo: obtained from Italy, this document can be helpful in clarifying your Italian-born ancestor’s actual name.
  • Affidavits and self-certifications: for when discrepancies regard a living ancestor.

PLEASE NOTE: Amendments for discrepancies/court orders/further documentation is not included in the initial service fee. Fees for such services are assessed on a case by case basis.

There are no hidden costs for shipping and handling. We include mailing of your records in a secure, priority envelope right to your home. You may also pick up your documents at our New York or Turin locations.

Cost

Fees for each application depend upon various factors such as number of generations removed, number of family members applying, discrepancies in records, and any usable records the client already has.

Our service fee includes translations of non-Italian records into Italian.

Service fees are not inclusive of out of pocket expenses related to the completion of your file. These can include document costs, notary fees, shipping and handling, and any other costs levied by government agencies for retrieval of vital records on your behalf. These fees can average $300-$800 depending on complexity of clients’ cases and number of generations removed from last Italian-born ancestors.

Additionally, project fees do not includeany amendments, court orders, or other extra documents needed after a full set of vital records is obtained. These are ancillary services that only some clients need if they have unclear documentation, serious name or date discrepancies, or are told to obtain further documentation by the consulate. We will not charge you for any extras until we’ve discussed any potential issues in your application plus ways to remedy them.

* There may be a surcharge if you have documents from any country that is not signatory to the Apostille Convention. There may also be a surcharge if we must obtain a naturalization record released less than 100 years ago to a non-deceased individual.
